dahdi-dkms software package provides DAHDI telephony interface (dkms kernel driver), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dahdi-dkms
dahdi-dkms is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dahdi-dkms package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dahdi-dkms *
You will get with dahdi-dkms package name, version, architecture and description in a table
